    About Bandhavgarh National Park

    Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh is one of India’s most celebrated tiger reserves. Located in the Umaria district, the park is spread across approximately 1,536 sq km, including a core area of 716 sq km. It was declared a national park in 1968 and later became one of the country’s earliest Project Tiger reserves in 1993. Today, this central India wildlife destination is renowned for its thriving tiger population, rich biodiversity and the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort that rises dramatically above the surrounding forests.

    Bandhavgarh is divided into six tourism safari zones, comprising three core zones (Tala, Magadhi, and Khitauli) and three buffer zones (Panpatha, Dhamokhar, and Johila). This structuring helps balance human movement with wildlife conservation.

    Tala Zone

    Magdhi Zone
