Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Jungle Revives, we understand that travel plans can change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the applicable cancellation, refund and amendment terms for bookings made through Jungle Revives.

This policy should be read together with the Jungle Revives Terms & Conditions and the specific payment and booking terms provided with your itinerary or invoice.

1. Booking and Payment Terms

Unless otherwise specified in your booking confirmation or invoice, Jungle Revives follows the following payment schedule:

  • 25% of the total booking amount is payable at the time of booking to confirm the reservation.
  • 50% of the total booking amount is payable as the second instalment before arrival.
  • The remaining 25% is payable as the final instalment before arrival.

The exact payment deadlines will be communicated in your booking confirmation or invoice.

For bookings made close to the travel date, Jungle Revives may require the full booking amount or an alternative payment schedule depending on the availability and payment requirements of the relevant service providers.

Failure to make a scheduled payment within the agreed timeframe may result in the release or cancellation of reserved services.

2. Cancellation by the Traveller

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email or through an official Jungle Revives communication channel. The date on which Jungle Revives receives the written cancellation request will be used to determine the applicable cancellation charges. Cancellation charges are calculated on the total booking amount, and not merely on the amount already paid.

Cancellation Charges

Cancellation received before scheduled arrival
Cancellation charge
Refund
90 days or more No cancellation charge 100% refund
60–89 days 25% of total booking amount 75% refund
30–59 days 50% of total booking amount 50% refund
Less than 30 days 100% of total booking amount No refund
Refund amounts shown above are subject to deductions for bank, payment gateway, remittance, currency conversion or transaction charges – see Section 3 (Refund Processing) for details.

3. Refund Processing

Where a refund is applicable, Jungle Revives will initiate the refund after the cancellation has been processed and the refundable amount has been determined.

Refunds will generally be processed within 15 business days, subject to the processing timelines of banks, payment gateways and other financial institutions.

Refunds will ordinarily be made using the same payment method through which the original payment was received. Where necessary, Jungle Revives may request alternative payment details or use another mutually agreed method.

Any bank charges, remittance charges, payment gateway charges or currency conversion costs associated with processing the refund may be deducted from the refundable amount. The actual time taken for the refunded amount to appear in the traveller’s account may depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.

4. Partial Cancellations

For bookings involving multiple travellers, rooms, safari permits, activities or other separately booked services, a request to cancel only part of the booking will be treated as a partial cancellation.

The applicable cancellation charges will be calculated for the specific services, travellers or components being cancelled, subject to the terms of the relevant third-party providers.

Where a partial cancellation results in changes to the pricing of the remaining itinerary, the revised cost may be recalculated accordingly.

5. Non-Refundable Services

Certain services may be non-refundable, regardless of the cancellation date, because they are purchased or reserved specifically for the traveller. These may include, where applicable:

  • Safari permits and entry permits (see Section 7 for details specific to safari permits).
  • Certain forest department or park charges.
  • Tickets and reservations.
  • Special events or activities.
  • Non-refundable accommodation rates.
  • Advance payments made to third-party suppliers.
  • Transportation or other services subject to non-refundable supplier terms.

Where a particular component of a booking is non-refundable, Jungle Revives will communicate this to the traveller where reasonably possible.

In the event that a third-party supplier’s non-refundable charge applies, the amount may be deducted from any otherwise refundable amount.

6. Third-Party Services

Jungle Revives may arrange accommodation, safari permits, transportation, activities and other services through independent third-party providers.

Bookings involving third-party services may be subject to additional or different cancellation and refund conditions imposed by the respective supplier.

Where a third-party provider applies a cancellation fee or penalty, that amount may be passed on to the traveller.

By confirming a booking that includes third-party services, the traveller acknowledges that the supplier’s applicable payment, cancellation and refund conditions may apply in addition to this policy or, where specifically stated, in place of the relevant Jungle Revives terms.

7. Safari Permit Cancellations and Non-Transferable Bookings

Safari permits and certain other wildlife access permissions may be issued by the relevant forest department or government authority in the traveller’s name.

Where applicable, such permits may be non-transferable and non-refundable once issued.

A request to change the traveller’s name, safari date, zone or other permit details may be subject to the rules and availability of the relevant authority and cannot be guaranteed by Jungle Revives.

Jungle Revives will communicate any applicable charges or restrictions where known.

8. Amendments and Changes to Travel Dates

Requests to change travel dates, accommodation, safari bookings, transportation or other itinerary components must be made in writing.

Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Where a date change is requested close to the scheduled arrival or trip start date, it may be treated as a cancellation and new booking rather than an amendment. Any resulting cancellation charges will be determined according to the applicable cancellation period and the terms of the relevant third-party providers.

A change request is not considered confirmed until Jungle Revives provides written confirmation.

9. Non-Use of Confirmed or Booked Services

No refund will ordinarily be provided for a service, activity, safari, meal, accommodation night, transfer or other itinerary component that the traveller voluntarily chooses not to use after the booking has been confirmed. This includes both unused portions of a confirmed itinerary and situations where a traveller:

  • Arrives late and misses a scheduled service.
  • Chooses not to participate in a confirmed activity.
  • Leaves a tour or safari early.
  • Decides not to use accommodation or transportation included in the booking.
  • Misses a safari or other scheduled activity due to personal reasons.

Where a third-party provider voluntarily offers a refund or credit for an unused service, Jungle Revives will assist with the applicable process where reasonably possible. Any other exception will be considered subject to the terms of the relevant supplier and the circumstances involved.

10. Cancellation Due to Force Majeure

Jungle Revives recognises that certain circumstances may arise beyond the reasonable control of the traveller or Jungle Revives. These may include:

  • Natural disasters.
  • Severe weather conditions.
  • Floods, earthquakes or forest fires.
  • Epidemics or pandemics.
  • Government restrictions.
  • National park or wildlife reserve closures.
  • Changes in forest department regulations.
  • Political unrest or civil disturbances.
  • War, terrorism or other security situations.
  • Strikes or major transportation disruptions.
  • Road closures.
  • Other unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Where such circumstances affect a booking, Jungle Revives may, where reasonably possible:

  • Offer alternative arrangements.
  • Modify the itinerary.
  • Reschedule affected services.
  • Assist the traveller in communicating with relevant suppliers.

Any refund or credit in such circumstances will depend on the nature of the event and the amounts recoverable from the relevant third-party providers.

Jungle Revives does not guarantee a full refund where third-party suppliers, government authorities or other service providers do not provide refunds.

11. Cancellation by Jungle Revives or Service Providers

Jungle Revives may need to cancel, modify, reschedule or discontinue a service due to circumstances including force majeure events, government or forest department decisions, safety concerns, supplier cancellation, park closures or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where this occurs, Jungle Revives will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements or rescheduling where possible.

Any refund will be determined based on the circumstances, the amount recoverable from relevant third-party providers and the applicable booking terms.

Where a service provider cancels or changes a service, the supplier’s applicable terms may also determine the refund or alternative arrangement available.

12. Travel Insurance

Jungle Revives strongly recommends that all travellers obtain comprehensive travel insurance before travelling.

Insurance should ideally cover, where appropriate:

  • Trip cancellation or interruption.
  • Medical emergencies.
  • Emergency evacuation.
  • Baggage loss, theft or delay.
  • Missed connections.
  • Travel delays.
  • Other unforeseen travel-related expenses.

Travel insurance may be particularly important for international travellers and wildlife trips involving multiple destinations or non-refundable services.

Jungle Revives is not an insurance provider and does not guarantee reimbursement of losses that may otherwise be covered by travel insurance.

13. Special Booking Conditions

Certain itineraries, accommodations, fixed departures, special-interest tours, seasonal programmes or other services may have specific payment and cancellation conditions that differ from this general policy.

Where special conditions apply, they will be communicated in the quotation, itinerary, invoice or booking confirmation.

In the event of a conflict between this general policy and specific written cancellation terms provided for a particular booking, the specific booking terms will apply, subject to applicable law.

14. Currency and Refund Amounts

Where payments are made in a foreign currency, the amount ultimately received as a refund may vary due to exchange-rate fluctuations, bank charges, remittance fees or currency conversion costs.

Jungle Revives will calculate the refundable amount based on the applicable booking and cancellation terms (see Section 3 for details on deductible charges).

15. How to Request a Cancellation

To cancel a booking, please contact Jungle Revives in writing with:

  • Booking reference or invoice number.
  • Traveller’s name.
  • Scheduled travel dates.
  • Details of the services being cancelled.
  • Reason for cancellation, where relevant.
  • Payment details if required for processing the refund.

Cancellation requests should be sent to:

Email: info@junglerevives.com

A cancellation will be considered effective only when the written request has been received and acknowledged by Jungle Revives.
