Safari Experience in Dhikala (Jim Corbett) with Elephants

Subscribe to Our YouTube Channel

I, my wife Neha, and our two beautiful kids recently went on a jungle safari trip to Jim Corbett National Park. It was autumn and a perfect sight to admire – the smooth breeze of air moving through the trees, silence everywhere, and many wild animals moving from one place to the other in the jungle.

As we continued with our Jungle safari, we saw numerous wild animals along the way and that amplified our overall safari experience. It was mesmerising and the autumn season made the safari experience even better. It was a great idea to visit Jim Corbett in the autumn season as the fallen leaves alongside the off-road, the sound of the wind, birds chirping all around, and the sun rays through the trees created a wonderful golden sight that is rarely seen in city life.

Welcome to my blog guys, and today let me tell you about my recent trip to the jungles of Jim Corbett National Park and why it’s one of the most memorable trips so far.

Preparing for the Safari Experience with All the Essentials

Since I am an experienced wildlife explorer, it has now become my mandatory requirement to be first equipped with all the essential equipment and gear before we kickstart our jungle safari on a sturdy and well-maintained jeep.

I have all my essentials with me such as binoculars for animal sightings, camera gear, and adequate clothing based on the season I am visiting.

Since this time, it was the autumn season, so I took normal clothes with me along with thin but warm jackets in case the wind got too strong. I am always in charge of packing clothes for any family trip. So, this time also I ensured everyone had adequate clothes with them to avoid any unwanted weather situations.

I always have an adequate supply of water with me through the Jungle Safari, and since I prefer a big and sturdy jeep, so before the trip, I ensure that enough water is loaded that can last throughout the journey.

Last but not least, I always check to have a hat with me and also with everyone travelling with me to protect from the sun’s scorching heat.

Entering the Jungles of Jim Corbett in Autumn

As we began our journey into the deep forests of Jim Corbett in the Sunny Autumn weather, we were surprised to see the amazing views in front of us. It was nothing less than magic if I will be honest with you.

The road was rough and uneven and made for a perfect safari experience. Rays of sunlight travelled through the tall trees and fell on the land area on the left side of our road. There were leaves fallen on both sides of the road due to the autumn weather and it was such a beautiful sight to look at. A perfect retreat to the eyes away from the bustling city life filled with happiness and positivity.

The terrain that we navigated for the jeep safari was quite hilly and had a perfect mix of jungle and hills on both sides covered with tall trees.

The Beginning of Our Jungle Safari

At the beginning of our safari, we came across numerous playful monkeys. They were crossing the road and jumping between numerous trees that covered the landscape. For quite some time, there were empty roads until we saw ant nests. These are an integral component of the Jungle Ecosystem. Their key role lies in supporting many other smaller life forms which are necessary to maintain harmony in the jungles.

As we travelled further into our safari, we saw some of the most beautiful landscapes of mountains and river tributaries. The view was extremely scenic and the sun was a little less intense. A cool breeze was blowing everywhere around and that made the jeep safari very soothing and enjoyable.

The Most Highlighting Moment of the Safari Trip

As we navigated further, we were in for one of the most highlighted moments of our safari. We came across a large group of elephants across the jungle area. We saw 30+ elephants in that area. All of them looked majestic and beautiful in their unique ways. They were all walking together in that area that seemed like a close-knit family. The bigger elephants were taking care of the baby elephants.  All of them were moving around the area very slowly without any confusion.

The view showed me numerous qualities that we as humans can learn from these elephants. Those are loyalty and unity towards family and emotional intelligence. It’s also about depicting strength gently, how to be good leaders and be wise.

Not only that but when I saw these elephants in the natural landscape, it made me realize their true importance in the jungle ecosystem. They not only help in maintaining the harmony of the wild forests but also help in maintaining the demography through ways like creating new forest pathways. Elephant dung is a great source of fertilizer for the growth of numerous organic matter in the forests. Moreover, they help in maintaining the jungle biodiversity and keeping the forest vegetation in check.

Moving Ahead in Our Jungle Safari

We saw everything during our Jungle Safari. It consisted of big mountains to tall trees, small rivers, dense forests, and various shades of the autumn season. I not only enjoyed a lot on this trip but also learned a lot about the jungle ecosystem. I also got to know how various animals are key to maintaining its diversity and harmony.

Autumn season is one of the best times to visit Jim Corbett.  It’s because of the scenery, the weather, and the less crowd. Autumn season is critical to regrow the forests into a new form. Also, the landscapes you see during this time of the year are mesmerizing and truly a piece of art.

So, plan your safari in Jim Corbett during autumn for some of the best views of nature. Get a break from your daily hectic life and recharge yourself from time to time.

We Need to Get Serious about Preserving Wildlife

It’s the need of the hour to get serious about wildlife conservation while enjoying and respecting nature. We must protect the biodiversity of these national parks and preserve them for future generations. This trip made me realize that we should always respect the forests, and the animals in it. That’s because while we love them, they are always in danger due to human-led activities. Mant of them are declining in population which is not a good sign. So let’s save these wonderful elements of our nature through intense conservation efforts.
