This blog is an introduction to the Brand Jungle Revives which was brought into existence to capture India’s constantly transforming wildlife.
It was a summer morning in the wild jungles of Jim Corbett National Park back in 2014 when I went on a wildlife Jungle Safari with my Wife, Neha. The off-road we took for the safari was covered with tall trees on both sides and the silence made everything stand still. It was a moment of pure serenity and bliss which I had never experienced before.
Both I and my wife had curiosities about visiting the wild jungles and experiencing the natural landscapes of Indian national parks and bird sanctuaries within our reachable distances. But when I heard many of my known ones talk about their beauty and how amazing the natural habitat is, one day we planned an impromptu trip and took off without much thought towards the Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve.
When we checked in to one of the resorts and started our Corbett Jungle Safari a few hours later, we were mesmerized by the Jungles and its wildlife. It was one of my most magnificent trips into nature until then. It was so calm and peaceful everywhere with beautiful mountains, river streams, and birds chirping.
Seemed like a completely different world altogether. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life and occupied by many beautiful animals (We saw many on our trip hidden in the jungles).
I was going on wildlife trips for a year and every time it was the true natural beauty that attracted me to it. From this moment, connecting with nature and wildlife became my regular thing which later led me to pursue some of the most interesting things down the line.

Hi, I am Shishir, the Founder of Jungle Revives
A Techie by Profession and a Wildlife Enthusiast, I launched the brand Jungle Revives to constantly capture unique sightings in the ever-transforming jungles of India. It’s all about describing the serenity and beauty of the Indian Jungles and the Wild Animals that reside in them. These are nothing less than gems of nature.
I attempt to show a unique sight of India’s wildlife and why we all should preserve it no matter what happens.
The Early Life: How I Became a Curious Wildlife Explorer
In my twenties and early thirties, I was an avid bird collector and had numerous exotic birds at my home like African Parrots, Budgerigars, Eclectus parrots, and Barraband Parakeets. Amongst them, there was one African parrot (Chinu), disabled yet extremely beautiful. I adopted Chinu so that I could give her a new environment to grow and nurture.
I spent years with that parrot and witnessed her transformation to normalcy. This phase of my life enabled me to create a unique emotional bond with her and that taught me resilience towards life. It also made me compassionate and empathetic towards pets in general.
Later on, it instigated a desire in me to explore nature and its hidden gems through regular bird sightings and wildlife safaris. It put me on the path to wildlife exploration during my later years to come. It was then that I started becoming deeply interested in exploring the diverse birds and wild animals of our country, and to capture the unique moments through my lenses of curiosity, be it through photos or videos.

Introducing Whisky: My German Shepherd
Then I adopted WHISKY, my loyal and affectionate German Shepherd. I brought him into my life 7 years back from a dog adoption drive in Delhi. He has been more than a pet to me – one of my family members without whom I probably wouldn’t be able to navigate through the day.
Time spent with him relieves me from all my stress and worries, and I become this happy-go person again. I have trained him on my own to the extent that he can function without a leash.
Over the years, and through the time I have spent with him, I was able to learn a lot about –

👉 Animal psychology and intelligence.
He has taught me so much about animal companionship. It has helped me build a stronger understanding of all animals in general. His energy and unconditional love towards me and my family are pure and are the biggest source of motivation towards starting my journey towards exploring the hidden gems of India’s natural wildlife.
My Transformation into a Passionate Wildlife Explorer
In a nutshell, all these experiences of mine over the years shaped and transformed me into a passionate animal and wildlife explorer from being an amateur.
These instances were more than experiences. They were my stepping stones to uncovering nature’s true beauty. It’s also about a deeper understanding of the harmony they maintain with other biodiversity.
My Approach to Wildlife Storytelling
I have always believed in being authentic when it comes to showing Indian wildlife through my lenses of curiosity. My approach to storytelling is direct and raw without any script. I capture the wild nature just as it is.
This has enabled me to document the unique perspectives of nature and Indian Jungles that are beyond describable through words.
Throughout my 10+ years of wildlife exploration, I have seen the evolution of wildlife from becoming abundant to becoming endangered. That’s why I decided to show the rawness of nature rather than following a script and predefined narrative.
I have visited numerous national parks, and wildlife and bird sanctuaries across Northern, Central, and Western India. I have the first-person POV of encountering numerous instances of tiger, elephant, and lion spotting. These are just pure magical moments.
Personally, tigers, lions, and exotic birds have always fascinated me due to their uniqueness and limited population across India. Getting a chance to come across them in person is truly a fascinating experience.
